Short -Term Treatment

The period of short-term treatment is not fixed but depends on your needs and much will depend on you; your attitude, discipline and commitment; also the degree of any disturbances and how stubborn the excess Doshas are to remove.
This aspect of treatment mainly deals with lifestyle management, meaning, how to live your life on a moment-to-moment basis without disturbing your natural and unique state (Prakriti). This starts now and continues throughout your life.
This phase of the treatment includes gaining knowledge on how to manage your
Dietetics, exercise, attitude, work, relationships, the ever-changing environment and climate and seasons; and developing an appropriate time-management routine.
Abhyanga is a panchakarma procedure, which involves whole body massage. This is a gentle, synchronized massage that is employed on the whole body using medicated oils. The massage is deep penetrating, gentle and detoxifying. Selection of oils is based on the type of prakruti or constitution you belong to.
A 60 to 90 minutes of massage, followed by a steam bath or a hot shower, are enough to rejuvenate you. Abhyanga nourishes the body, infuses sound sleep, smoothens skin, improves vision and provides better physical agility. You feel lighter after Abhyanga.
Abhyanga is normally recommended in vata disorders, and works wonders in case of stress-related problem. Overall, it offers a number of benefits on your physical, mental, and emotional levels.
Abhayanga is Ayurveda’s principal healing tool and the mother of all massages. It is a whole body massage given with herbal oils customized to your body type to detoxify, nourish and revitalize the body tissues (Dhatus). Abhyanga has much deeper and more far reaching effects than ordinary massage using mineral oils and lotions. Abhyanga achieves deepest healing effects by naturally harmonizing Mind Body & Spirit. This massage is usually given by two therapists for one hour and is usually followed by a herbal bath or medicated steam bath (Sweda). It is one of the most rejuvenating treatments of Ayurveda.
