Principles of Ayurveda. An individual’s constitution or body- mind type is based on 3 fundamental principles: Vata, Pitta, Kapha, these are referred to as Doshas.
These 3 principles or 3 Doshas are governing all physical functioning in every cell and in every system of the body.

Vata: Channels, movement Represents transformation and communication within the cellular and systemic levels of the body
Vata Body Type manifest such characteristics:
Thin physique, dry skin
Creative, active, talkative
Anxiety, digestive ailments
Pitta: Transformation, enzymes, metabolism; breakdown and synthesis of nutrients
Pitta Body Type manifest such characteristics:
Lean physique, good digestion
Goal oriented, sharp
Tendency toward high blood pressure, inflammatory disorders, acidity
Kapha:Structure of body tissues; represents cohesion and lubrication of body tissues and organs
Kapha Body Type manifest such characteristics:
Heavy physique, oily skin
Good memory, pleasant nature
Tendency toward obesity
Chronic fatigue, depression
